Rikke Steensbjerre Møller’s Research
Rikke Steensbjerre Møller’s research combines clinical, genetic, pharmacological, and translational studies in the field of epilepsy. The aim is to understand the relationship between specific genetic mutations and the associated clinical symptoms, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying disease mechanisms. This knowledge may improve current treatments or contribute to the development of new targeted treatment options for patients with genetically determined epilepsy.
Research Areas
- Contributing to the diagnosis, investigation, and treatment of children and adults with genetically determined epilepsy
- Building new knowledge about genetically determined epilepsies through research at an international level
- Bridging the gap between basic research and patient care
- Promoting a shift in the treatment of patients with genetically determined epilepsy from a trial-and-error approach to personalized treatment
