Rehabilitation after brain injuries

Here’s a packing list of what to bring for your stay.

• Clothes – including workout clothes, which must be able to withstand being labeled and washed at 60 degrees.
• Good training shoes or sandals
• Toiletries e.g. toothpaste, shampoo
• Optionally mobile, computer
• Things that can make the living room cozy, such as family photos.

The Center for Neurorehabilitation is housed in a new and modern building – a beautiful three-storey building with an elevator and one ward located on the ground floor and one on the first floor.

We design your room to best support your rehabilitation and your needs.

We have two cozy lounges on each of the two floors. One room overlooks the garden and our outdoor training facilities. There’s also a large aquarium with fish that are calming to look at, and lots of board games, magazines and more to inspire social activity or conversation. The second room is connected to the dining room and features a TV and soft furnishings.

We have a 90 m2 training room with modern equipment and 5 multi-training rooms with e.g. kitchen and workshop as well as a gym. We offer equestrian therapy and pool therapy every week. We like to train outside on a petanque court, training path with different surfaces, an obstacle course, a basketball hoop and, a trampoline on a raised platform. Here you can train on a fall-proof surface. Our training equipment is new and modern e.g.

• Gait trainer.

There is public transport with trains and buses within walking distance. We also have parking spaces right next to the Center for Neurorehabilitation at Kolonivej 25, Dianalund. There are Clever charging stations for electric cars at Laboratoriet, Kolonivej 11, Dianalund.

We don’t have special opening hours, you can always come and visit as a relative. But it makes sense to schedule visits around the intense training. When there are visitors, you can choose to sit in the patient room, common rooms or go outside in the large green private area. You’re welcome to bring a cake or something else, and we have coffee on tap. You are welcome to store your own food in the shared fridge.
