Professional Referral

Who can refer?

The Epilepsy Hospital

General practitioners, specialists, and the neurological and pediatric departments of the regions can refer to the hospital.

Residential and Day Programs

The municipalities are the authorities that refer to residential and day programs.

Professional Referral

Approved by the Danish Health Authority

The Epilepsy Hospital is approved by the Danish Health Authority. If the waiting time exceeds 30 days, the patient has the right to choose treatment at the Epilepsy Hospital, which has an agreement with Danish Regions.

Centre of Neurorehabilitation

Referral to the center is made through the responsible hospital doctor, the general practitioner, or the municipal authority.

Residential and Day Programs

Filadelfia’s residential and day programs Brommeparken, Stormly, and the Rehabilitation and Development Center can be found on Tilbudsportalen. The municipalities are the authorities that refer citizens to residential programs.

Special School Børneskole

A student can be referred through the district school—the public school the student is affiliated with, or parents can use the free school choice option.

The municipality can also refer the student if special education is needed.

Filadelfia’s special school’s admissions committee assesses whether the program can meet the student’s needs.

Education for children and adolescents during hospitalization is provided in accordance with the ‘Law on Public Schools’ (Folkeskoleloven) §20 subsections 2 and 3. The Børneskole also collaborates in the assessment process.
