Here’s what we think

“I am proud to be a social educator. Professionalism is important. We work interdisciplinarily so that we can develop the residents together and create a meaningful life. The more they can do on their own, the better.”

Jan Henrik Pedersen, social educator

“We have chosen Brommeparken, even though we live in Stevns. It is important that Lars lives in a nice place with a high level of specialization, so he doesn’t just sit around and fail to develop. The communication with Lars’s contact person is fantastic, and the collaboration is really good.”

Marianne Jensen, relative of
Lars Jensen

“At Brommeparken, I feel secure knowing that the staff understands my epilepsy and can help me. It’s comforting that they remain calm when I have a seizure. I am also glad that the Epilepsy Hospital is nearby.”

Dorte Sørensen, resident

Brommeparken

We are always here

The staff have professional competencies as educators, social and health assistants, nurses, a physiotherapist, occupational therapists, and a chef. We work interdisciplinarily and closely with relatives.

Epileptic seizures

Our staff are trained in epilepsy and know exactly what to do if a resident has an epileptic seizure. No one is alone; we are always there. We can manage seizures and are in daily contact with Brommeparken’s house doctor from the Epilepsy Hospital, Filadelfia. There is also always a medication manager in the house. This ensures a sense of security, as we can respond quickly in case of an epileptic seizure or changes in seizure patterns.

Friends and communities

We support communities and create positive experiences together. Humor and good spirits go hand in hand at Brommeparken. We embrace each other’s differences and support one another, ensuring that everyone has a good day.

Activities

Nature guarantees many wonderful experiences; we learn about birds, animals, and plants while sensing and feeling the changing seasons in the forest. We go horseback riding and take trips with the bus. Some residents have activities outside Brommeparken, such as at Filadelfia’s day service Rehabilitation and Development Center in Dianalund.

We have a training kitchen and a training center. But we also make time for board games. In the late afternoon, we cook together with the chef. We contribute what we can and enjoy the sense of community through a good meal.

Dedicated contact person

All residents are assigned one or more dedicated contact persons. Together with other colleagues, they form a consistent team with strong professional expertise and work interdisciplinarily. The team assists with practical, personal, and social tasks. They also provide educational and nursing support and assistance. There is close collaboration with relatives.
