Filadelfias 6. internationale konference om epilepsi, blev holdt den 2.-3. maj i Køge. Temaet var:
‘Overlappende kliniske fænotyper i monogene epilepsier – fælles molekylære veje?’ eller på engelsk ‘Overlapping clinical phenotypes in monogenic epilepsies – common molecular pathways?‘
Christopher Reid, professor ved Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, Melbourne, Australien.
De delte viden på kryds og tværs på den internationale konference DICE 2024. Programmet var tæt pakker med information og seneste nyt fra forskere fra over 20 forskellige lande. Christopher Reid og Holger Lerche er fra henholdsvis Australien og Tyskland. De mødte hinanden første gang i 2007, og er nu kollegaer inden for forskningen af genetik og epilepsi.
– Det er en god anledning til at møde kollegaer, og konferencen er meget motiverende, fortæller Christopher Reid.
Professor Rikke Steensbjerre Møller og Guido Rubboli samt lektor Elena Gardella og forskningskoordinator Line Overgaard arrangerede den store konference, som samlede forskere fra hele verden.
Professor Rikke Steensbjerre Møller overrakte oplægsholder Torie Robinson fra London en gave, da Torie Robinson også har bidraget med at layoute programmet og laver podcasts og foredrag om epilepsi og forskning.
